Flower Embellishment Applique

Technique: Regular Crochet
Although the flower embellishment can be made alone, if you would like the set as shown in the photo, here are the links you will need. Be certain to also print your graph for the tank top, in both front and back, in the size you need. The graphs will depict the stripes for the Boricua Tank Top. When using the graphs for the Floral Baby Set, make the back in one solid color and the front using only the center stripe.
Tank Top Charts (scroll to bottom of page) (sizes 9 months through 18 months)
Floral Baby Skirt (this page) (sizes 9 months through 18 months)
- Red Heart Luster Sheen (335 yards per 4 ounces): small amount
- Suggested hook sizes: G (4mm)
- Tapestry needle (for weaving ends and attaching to tank top)
Yarn Suggestions: Tahki Yarns Cotton Classic Lite
Rnd 1: Ch 5, sl st to first ch to form a ring, ch 1, 15 sc in ring, sl st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, working in front loops only for this rnd, sc in same sc as joining, *ch 4, sc in next sc, rep from * to last sc, ch 4, sl st to first sc–15 ch-4 lps.
Rnd 3: Pushing ch-4 lps toward you and out of the way, sl st into back loop only of first sc of rnd 1, ch 1, working in back loops only for this rnd, sc in same sc as joining, *ch 6, sc in next sc, rep from * to last sc, ch 6, sl st to first sc–15 ch-6 lps. Fasten off.
With yarn needle, attach to tank top as shown in photograph.
