Since I started my Free Crochet Patterns group on Facebook about a year ago, I’ve been in pursuit of crochet beauty pretty regularly. One of my favorite websites is Whistle & Ivy.
There is just so much to love with Whistle & Ivy and this gorgeous hat is no exception. You know what I love most? I love that you start off with a solid color hat, making it easy to stitch and then the secondary color is made by embellishing it with surface stitches. Isn’t that fun?!
Just think of the different colors you could use. You could even use a different color for each bit of embellishment. And, really, surface crochet like this is really just embroidery so, if you know how to embroider other stitches, you could do more embellishment to your heart’s desire.
