Sandra Eng, Author
Sandra Eng is the author of this lovely, very colorful book, Crochet Kaleidoscope. This 160 page book was published by Interweave in 2018.
As the byline to the title says, there are 100 different motifs included in the book. There is a really wonderful variety. You’ll find circles, squares, octagons, hexagons and flower shapes.
There is information at the front of the book teaching about different colorway combinations: contrast, analagous and gradient. Some of the motifs in the book show alternative colorways and it is so fun seeing how simple color changes can affect a project.

Sandra has included online resources to help with colorway choices including my own favorite: Design Seeds.
I especially love the resource in the back of the book that includes a square made in every color of Cascade Ultra Pima used in the book. It’s a wonderful way to match the colors you find at Design Seeds to a yarn color.
In addition to the 100 motifs including in the book, you will also find a few fabulously colorful project patterns so you can start using your motifs immediately.
If you can’t wait for the drawing, the book is also available on Amazon.

The entry form will load immediately below these words. Wait for it to load. If it doesn’t load, you may need to break out your laptop because some devices (I’m looking at you, iPad) strip the code sometimes.
