“YARN” by Scheepjes is a biannual book-a-zine. This one is the seventh issue and is called “Reef”. Scheepjes is a yarn company so all the projects are made in their yarns, which by the way, are Ah-MAZING!
The book is 106 pages and includes 17 patterns; 16 crochet and 1 knit.
This is a pretty incredible blanket made by Rachele Carmona of Cypress Textiles. This blanket includes six different perfectly coordinating squares, but look again. Rachele has done this fun addition of breaking from tradition with three different diagonal fill areas. I am so in love with that!

Reef Shorts is by Cara Medus. Cara does a lot of work for magazines and books as well as pattern testing and technical editing. She writes at her website, Cara Medus. I love this this design because you just don’t see many patterns for adult crochet shorts. They’re so fun! You’ll find the pattern in five sizes.
Baby Ray is by Matt Farci who writes at A Boy & Bunting. Matt has designed several really cute novelty items in crochet and this little Baby Ray is just adorable! You can see that beautiful stitch definition using Scheepjes Catona cotton. Just gorgeous!
If you can’t wait for the drawing, the book is also available at Wool Warehouse.
