Here’s another fine example of something you can do with just one skein of a self-striping yarn.
There are three types of projects I’ve predicted will be *hot* for gifts this season and cowls are right there on the list.

You could have several of these whipped up in no time. And, because you can use self-striping yarn, you let the yarn do the work for you with those fantastic stripes with only two ends to weave in once it’s complete.
Several months’ ago, I read that someone liked to keep a basket of ready-made small gifts at the door in a basket to hand out to unexpected guests during the holiday season.
I positively *love* that idea and this would be something that could go into the basket.
Living way out in the country, I rarely get guests so my basket of goodies would probably languish. But, it’s still a wonderful idea and I may have to think of another way I can manage it. 🙂
The pattern for this lovely cowl is by Heather of Patterns for Crochet. As with all her patterns, she writes them in both US and UK terms!

Many of you have written to me to ask how you can help support CrochetKim. A Patreon account was suggested but I thought it would be better to provide ad-free PDFs of my patterns so you would get something in return. I'm steadily working on adding PDFs to all my patterns and I've also made this compilation available at a discounted price. You can, of course, view, print, paste to a word processor, convert to PDF, etc. on your own. This is just an extra feature so that people help out, if they want. Thank you to all of you for your overwhelming support and kindness these many years. Enjoy!
