This is a gorgeous laceweight shawl from Stefanie Bold. It’s a perfect example of the gorgeous drape you can get from Tunisian crochet.
For this shawl, Stefanie starts out with the top center and increases outward to form a half circle. Once the half circle is formed, she makes a trim of linked stitches and finishes with a delicate picot bead edge. The linked stitches worked perpendicular to the main body of the shawl with the weight of the beads will add extra bulk to the edge and keep it from curling.
If you’re unfamiliar with Tunisian crochet, you may want to check out my video series. You’ll need Tunisian Simple Stitch and you’ll need to learn increasing and decreasing.
The pattern is available as a PDF download only and is available in both English and German as two separate files.
See Stefanie’s designs on Ravelry HERE. She includes a wide range of designs, including knit, crochet and Tunisian crochet.
