It’s just wonderful to add a new designer to the fold here at Make It Crochet! Michele Costa is the designer/creator at Stitch & Hustle. Love that name!
Today’s crochet beauty is the Augustine Chunky Throw Blanket. It’s fabulous and squishy and soft. It’s the perfect combination for today’s modern decor.
Michele started with some amazing super bulky wool. I’ve never actually worked with this company, so I’ll just share with you what I found on Ravelry. The pattern says the yarn is “We Are Knitters The Wool.” The photos show “Wool & The Gang”. I don’t really know the history, but it sure looks like the same thing. Maybe the company relabeled? I don’t know for certain, but either will absolutely work and they look exactly the same anyway.
What I *do* know is that some of you can’t work with wool and I don’t want you to be disappointed. I did a bit of research and I think a good substitute will be Lion Brand Hometown USA.
Michele has used a foundation half double crochet for the start. Not familiar with that? Here’s a video.

Lastly, if you need to change the width of your project, the stitch multiple is “6, plus 1” when using foundation half double as stated in the instructions.
