Jennifer Pionk of A Crocheted Simplicity has created such a clever design with this Aveline Scarf. The scarf is a long triangle with a long “tail” at the end. You’ll be making some chain spaces where you’ll weave the tail in and out, creating this wonderful look of gathers. So clever!
You’ll be using a bulky yarn from Lion Brand called Scarfie and you’ll only need one skein, less than 300 yards. You’ll finish this in no time at all when you use the bulky weight.

Jennifer has used slip stitch crochet throughout. I love the beautiful drape that you get from this technique. I’ve only worked in back loop slip stitch so I look forward to trying out the front loop only that she uses here. It looks like you get a ribbing look and I love just about anything that has the look and feel of ribbing.
You know what would be fun with this? Add a Unicorn Tail to the skinny end of the scarf! See the video for these at JessieAtHome HERE, but don’t forget to pick up your free pattern for the scarf from A Crocheted Simplicity below.

Many of you have written to me to ask how you can help support CrochetKim. A Patreon account was suggested but I thought it would be better to provide ad-free PDFs of my patterns so you would get something in return. I'm steadily working on adding PDFs to all my patterns and I've also made this compilation available at a discounted price. You can, of course, view, print, paste to a word processor, convert to PDF, etc. on your own. This is just an extra feature so that people help out, if they want. Thank you to all of you for your overwhelming support and kindness these many years. Enjoy!
