Never underestimate the power of embellishment.
You’re going to be pleasantly surprised to hear that these fantastic mitts from Charlotta of In the Yarn Garden are super easy to make! These are so wonderfully easy that they’re fantastic for beginners, even a first project! Don’t believe me? Let’s take a look.
As you read over the pattern, the first thing you’ll notice is that it’s very short. Why is it so short? It’s because Charlotta has created amazing construction. These mitts are just a rectangle. Just a simple rectangle, with no shaping. It’s fabulous!
In order to get this same look, you’re going to want a sport weight yarn. Be sure to get a few extra colors because you’re going to want to embellish them. Of course, you don’t HAVE to embellish them, but go ahead! They look terrific.
These little snowflakes are actually cross stitch with a needle in the same manner you would normally cross stitch on a grid. Take your time to ensure that you don’t split the fibers.
