It was love at first sight! Have you seen this fantastic poncho by Alexandra Tavel of Two of Wands?
The poncho includes lovely cut work details which are made by carefully planned chain spaces. I love this addition. Normally I find the details in some colorwork so this cutwork look is so fresh!

Alexandra has used Lion Brand Superwash Merino. Merino is such an amazing wool. It’s not the wool you probably saw (and felt) in the 80s. It’s just lovely. And, of course, it’s treated so you’ll be able to machine wash and dry. You’ll want to use care, but superwash means machine wash and dry. Yes, indeed. You can have your cake and eat it too.
I have heard that some people who are allergic to wool have been able to use merino, but if you would rather use something else, there are some other options from Lion Brand. Try Vanna’s Style or Vanna’s Sequins. Lion Brand Mandala is super popular right now so I would probably want to try swatching it to see how it looks as well.

Many of you have written to me to ask how you can help support CrochetKim. A Patreon account was suggested but I thought it would be better to provide ad-free PDFs of my patterns so you would get something in return. I'm steadily working on adding PDFs to all my patterns and I've also made this compilation available at a discounted price. You can, of course, view, print, paste to a word processor, convert to PDF, etc. on your own. This is just an extra feature so that people help out, if they want. Thank you to all of you for your overwhelming support and kindness these many years. Enjoy!
