Yarn Notes

I fell hopelessly in love with the yarn used in this project. It’s cotton. It’s a fine weight. It has beautiful long colorways of self-striping.

When I started using a different color, though, it was variegated, not self-striping. As it turns out, I actually preferred the variegated in my new project here: Entwined Helix Scarf.

I wrote to the yarn manufacturer because, if you are doing this project in the recommended yarn, I didn’t want you to be disappointed, if you happen to choose one of the variegated instead. Here is the response so you will know which are variegated and which are self-striping:

Thank you for your inquiry! Most of the line has long color changes. However, the newest colors, 7624/Carnival, 7616/Breeze, 7642/Jazz, 7625/Santa Fe, and 7654/Lagoon, all have the short color changes you are now encountering. That was indeed on purpose and will remain consistent.
