Awww….. please hold on a moment while I die of the cuteness. Seriously, though, this is just such an incredibly cute project and brilliant idea. I know that children of all ages are going to want this one.
Jess Copporn of Make & Do Crew has designed this project using Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick and it’s written for toddler/preschooler size, but feel free to adjust it slightly to make it larger for an older child. Head size doesn’t change much until about 8 years old, so you should have no problem with adjusting.

My son is 12 but I’m sure that he wouldn’t mind a hooded blanket to keep him warm while doing his school work or playing at the computer. I’ll bet I could even customize this one to look like an ocelot in Minecraft.
Thank you, Jess! I think you’ve just given me the idea for a great gift for my little man! It gets a bit chilly in this old house and this is perfect. He can easily keep it on his shoulders without having to constantly hold it. You are brilliant!

Many of you have written to me to ask how you can help support CrochetKim. A Patreon account was suggested but I thought it would be better to provide ad-free PDFs of my patterns so you would get something in return. I'm steadily working on adding PDFs to all my patterns and I've also made this compilation available at a discounted price. You can, of course, view, print, paste to a word processor, convert to PDF, etc. on your own. This is just an extra feature so that people help out, if they want. Thank you to all of you for your overwhelming support and kindness these many years. Enjoy!
