Take a look at this extraordinary project, designed by Bendy Carter for Red Heart yarns.
This project is part of their “Christmas in July” series. Think about it, though. There are already people starting their Christmas projects.
As an artist of handmade projects, you really do need to start thinking about Christmas in the middle of the year if you want to avoid the mad rush and sleepless nights.
This project looks just like peppermint candy when worked in red and white. It is absolutely beautiful.
But, really. Why stop with red and white? It would be extraordinary in any colors. It would look cool and contemporary in black and white.
It will have a retro feel when done in lime, orange and yellow. It would have a snowflake feel if worked in blue and white.
There are infinite possibilities. I could even see it as a scrapghan project.
It’s certainly not a beginner project. This project is one that will require some concentration. So, give yourself lots of time and patience.
