Esther Dijkstra of It’s All in a Nutshell designed this exquisite Touch of Velvet Wrap. This is going to be someone’s Christmas present this year because Wow!
This is my first time seeing Scheepjes Crafter Velvet. That’s not really unusual since I’m in the US and miss out on seeing a lot of yarns available in the UK and other parts of Europe. Esther is in The Netherlands and I’m so glad to feature her today because she’s not only sharing this fabulous pattern with us but she’s also introducing me to an extraordinary new yarn. Esther links directly to Wool Warehouse in her pattern so you’ll be able to purchase it easily. And, don’t worry about being in the US. Lots of us have ordered from the Wool Warehouse without any problems at all.
I’ve checked out the pattern and it’s a straight-forward, center top start with increasing throughout. Try to stay within gauge, if possible. Unlike some other straight down shawls, this one has a delicate edging that requires a specific row count.
And, best of all, check out those beads! That is just the perfect finishing touch, especially for something being given as a gift. It really takes your gift up a notch.
I noticed that Esther also includes a video to get you through any tricky bits, making this pattern great for all levels of crocheter.
