Finding a unique stitch pattern is always exciting. This one has a look of being difficult but is really quite easy. Using the taller stitches makes it a quick project from start to finish.

Technique: Regular Crochet
Materials
- Red Heart Super Saver, 100% acrylic, 364 yds per 7 oz, Size 4 aran weight: 4 skeins (or about 1456 yds) in color Aruba Sea
- Crochet hook sizes: 6mm [US J-10]
- Yarn Needle (for weaving ends)

Gauge
In stitch pattern, 16 stitches for 4 rows measures 4″
Special Stitches
Shell (sh): [5 tr, ch 5, 5 tr] in same sc.
Cluster (cl): Yo twice, insert hook in indicated tr, yo, pull lp through, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] twice, *yo twice, insert hook in next tr, yo, pull lp through, [yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] twice, yo, pull through 4 lps on hook.
Notes
If you would like to change the width of this project, the multiple is 12, plus 2. In order to follow the pattern without altering, you’ll need at least an initial chain count of 38.
Crochet Pattern Instructions
Row 1: Ch 194, sc in second ch from hook, *ch 5, sk 5 ch, sc in next ch, rep from * across, turn.
Row 2 (RS): Ch 1, sc in first sc, *sh (see Special Stitches) in next sc, sc in next sc, rep from * across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 5, sk 2 tr of 5-tr group, cl (see Special Stitches) across next 3 tr of same 5-tr group, *ch 5, sc in ch-5 sp, ch 5, cl across first 3 tr of next 5-tr group, sk 2 tr of same group, sk 2 tr of next 5-tr group, cl across next 3 tr of same 5-tr group, rep from * to last ch-5 sp, ch 5, sc in last ch-5 sp, ch 5, cl across first 3 tr of next 5-tr group, sk 2 tr of same 5-tr group, dtr in sc, turn. Note: dtr is the one with three yarn overs.
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in dtr, *sh in next sc, sc between next 2 cl, rep from * to last sc, sh in last sc, sc in top of ch-5 turning ch, turn.
Rows 5-52: Rep rows 3-4.
Row 53: Rep row 3. Do not fasten off, turn.
Trim
With RS facing you, ch 1, 3 sc in corner, sc evenly around, with 3 sc in each corner, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
Finishing
Weave in ends securely.
