Technique: Regular Crochet
- Red Heart With Love (aran weight, 100% acrylic) approx. 25 yards (shown in color Candy Pink)
- Suggested hook size: I-9 [5.5mm]
- Stitch marker (or small piece of scrap yarn)
- Needle (for weaving ends)
Work in unjoined rounds until instructed otherwise. Use a stitch marker or small piece of scrap yarn to mark the rounds to keep your place.
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc): Yarn over, insert hook to the side of the indicated stitch, move hook around the back of the stitch and out the other side of same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] twice.
Round 1: Ch 3, skip 2 ch (does not count as a stitch), 8 hdc in next ch: 8 hdc.
Round 2: Sk ch-2 from previous round, 2 fpdc around each hdc: 16 dc.
Round 3: 2 fpdc around each dc: 32 dc.
Round 4: [2 fpdc around next dc, fpdc around next dc] around, sl st to first dc, turn: 48 dc.
Round 5 (RS): Sk first and next dc, *3 dc in next dc, sk dc, sl st in next dc, sk dc, rep from * to last 2 dc, 3 dc in next dc, sk dc, sl st to first dc, fasten off.
With yarn needle, weave in all ends securely.
