I don’t know about you, but there is something about the weeks after the holiday season that makes it nearly impossible for me to design or even to simply crochet. I keep thinking that I’ll pick up my newest project and crochet but then I get distracted and never seem to get any crocheting done at all.
Looking back, this same exact thing happened to me at this time last year. I think it was February or March before I really got back into my work.

I’m trying to figure out the trigger for this behavior and I think that it is simply that I get overwhelmed by all the things that I’m doing, trying to do and hoping to do for the new year. I get completely stymied and can’t move forward at all.
I’m sure that I will eventually bust through this creative block, but I’m going to give myself the time I need because forcing it won’t do anyone any good.
This weekend, I need to make the Make It Crochet blog posts, write the weekly newsletter, write the CGOA Chain Link Newsletter, write a pattern round up for Monday, schedule the daily 8-10am Coffee and Crochet Free Pattern Links for the Facebook group. Do you see what I mean? It’s so much in such a small amount of time that I can’t even find my way to do any of them.
Time to reevaluate my priorities and get back in the game. 🙂
