Finished Size (Blocked)
approx. 7” x 72”
Materials
1 ball: Berroco Boboli Lace, 3.5 oz per 100g, 350 yds
Suggested hook size: Size 6.5mm [US K-10 ½] Tunisian Afghan Hook
Needle (for weaving ends)
Gauge (Blocked)
15 stitches for 5 rows = 4”.
Special Stitches
Modified Tunisian Simple Stitch (mod-tss): Insert hook under front vertical bar of stitch as for tss and in top horizontal bar of closing chain behind it, yarn over, pull a loop through.

ch=chain; lp(s)=loop(s); st(s)=stitch(es); yo=yarn over
Tunisian Crochet Pattern Instructions
Foundation Row
Row 1A: Ch 28, sk 2 ch, *insert hook in next ch, yo, pull lp through, leave lp on hook, yo and hold the yo in place with your index finger to make the next st, rep from * to last ch, insert hook in last ch, yo, pull lp through.
Row 1B: Ch 2 (closing the first st), [remove working lp from hook, allow yo to drop from hook, replace working lp, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook] to last st, yo, pull through 2 lps on hook.
Row 2A: Ch 1, sk first vertical bar, *insert hook as for mod-tss (see Special Stitches above), yo, pull lp through, yo and hold the yo in place with your index finger to make the next st, rep from * to last st, insert hook in top of last st, yo, pull lp through.
Row 2B: Rep Row 1B.
Rows 3-99: Rep row 2.
Bind Off
Sk first vertical bar, [insert hook as for mod-tss in next vertical bar, yo, pull lp through st AND through lp on hook (sl st made)] to last st, sl st in top ch of ch-2, fasten off.
Finishing
Once complete, use a yarn needle to weave in all ends. Block as desired.
