Technique: Regular Crochet

6.5″ x 60″

In stitch pattern, 14 sts for 7 rows measures approximately 4″ square.

  • (A) Red Heart “Super Saver” (100% acrylic, aran size 4 weight): 1 skein or approx. 236 yards required (shown in grey heather)
  • Suggested hook size: 7mm
  • Yarn needle

Stitch Multiple

To increase or decrease the width, chain any multiple of 4 then add 5.

If you prefer, you can substitute a beginning chain 2 instead of a beginning chain 3 on odd rows.

I’ve indicated the odd row side as the right side of the project solely because I liked the look of that side better. In truth, both sides are lovely and you can take your pick.

Special Stitches

V-Stitch (v-st): (dc, ch 2, dc) in indicated chain or stitch.

Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc): Yarn over, insert hook to the side of the indicated stitch, move hook around the back of the stitch and out the other side of same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] twice.
