  • Stylecraft Special DK, 322 yds per 100g, approx. 200 yds Lime and 400 yds Raspberry
  • Size H-8 [5mm] crochet hook, or size needed to meet gauge

Gauge

In stitch pattern, 16 sts for 8 rows measures 4″

Special Stitches

Cluster (cl): Yarn over, insert hook in stitch indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, [yarn over, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] twice, yarn over, pull through 4 loops on hook.

T-stitch (t-st): Yarn over, insert hook in stitch or chain space indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook in next stitch or chain space indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 3 loops on hook. (Note: This is very simple. Try not to overthink it. You start your first double in one spot and then the second double in the next spot and then close it up at the top. The pattern will indicate where to put the first and second.)

Notes

Should you like to change the stitch count, the multiple is 8, plus 3.

Crochet Pattern Instructions

Row 1: With Lime, ch 243, sk 3 ch (counts as first dc here and throughout), dc in each rem ch, changing to Raspberry on last dc, turn: 241 dc.

Row 2: With Raspberry, ch 1, sc in same dc, *ch 3, sk 3 dc, [cl, ch 3, cl] in next dc, ch 3, sk 3 dc, sc in next dc, rep from * to end, turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, dc in next ch-3 sp, *ch 3, [sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc] in ch-3 sp between cls, ch 3, t-st across next 2 ch-3 sps, rep from * to last ch-3 sp between cls, ch 3, [sc, ch 3, sc, ch 3, sc] in last ch-3 sp between cls, ch 3, t-st across next ch-3 sp and sc, turn.

Row 4: Ch 3, 2 dc in same st, *ch 1, sk next ch-3 sp, t-st across next 2 ch-3 sps, ch 1, sk ch-3 sp, 5 dc in top of t-st, rep from * to ch-3 sp after last t-st, ch 1, sk next ch-3 sp, t-st across next 2 ch-3 sps, ch 1, 3 dc in last dc, changing to Lime on last dc, turn.

Row 5: With Lime, ch 3, sk first dc, dc in each rem st and ch-1 sp, changing to Raspberry on last dc, turn.

Rows 6-17: Rep rows 2-5. (Do not change to Raspberry on final row.) Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in ends securely.
