Technique: Regular Crochet
Materials
- Red Heart Baby Hugs Light, Yarn Standards Size 3/light worsted weight, 100% acrylic, 318 yds per 4.5 oz skein: 2 skeins Teddy, 1 skein Pool and 1 skein Peachie
- Size I [5.5mm-9] crochet hook
- Yarn needle (for weaving ends)

15 sc measure 4″, 8 rows measure 4″

Special Stitches
Beginning Cluster (beg-cluster): Yarn over 3 times, insert hook in stitch indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, *yarn over 3 times, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, rep from * once more, yarn over, pull through 4 loops on hook.
For additional assistance with the Cluster instructions below, see the video demonstration at the top. The instructions are long so just take it a step at a time. This is a 6-dtr cluster with the first 3 dtr worked in the previous one and the next 3 dtr in the next indicated stitch. There are 6 dtr, split in the middle.
Cluster (cluster): Yarn over 3 times, insert hook in the same stitch as the previous 3 dtr, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, *yarn over 3 times, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, rep from * once more, skip 5 sc, yarn over 3 times, insert hook in the next sc, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, *yarn over 3 times, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, rep from * once more, yarn over, pull through 7 loops on hook.
Ending Cluster (end-cluster): Yarn over 3 times, insert hook in the same stitch as the previous 3 dtr, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, *yarn over 3 times, insert hook in same stitch, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 3 times, rep from * once more, skip 2 sc, yarn over 4 times, insert hook in the last sc, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] 4 times, yarn over, pull through 5 loops on hook.
Notes
To change the width of your project, the stitch multiple is 6, plus 8.

Instructions
Row 1: With Teddy, ch 134, sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch, turn: 133 sc.
Rows 2-3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, changing to Pool on last sc, turn: 133 sc.
Special Stitches located above will give you the instructions for: beg-cluster, cluster and end-cluster.
Row 4 (RS): With Pool, ch 5, sk 3 sc, beg-cluster in next sc, ch 5, [cluster, ch 5] across to last 3 sc, end-cluster, changing to Teddy on last st, turn: 22 ch-5 sps.
Row 5: With Teddy, ch 1, sc in first st, *5 sc in ch-5 sp, sc in next st, rep from * across, turn: 133 sc.
Rows 6-7: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, changing to Peachie on last sc, turn: 133 sc.
Row 8: With Peachie, rep row 4.
Rows 9-11: Rep rows 5-7.
Rows 12-67: Rep rows 4-11.
Rows 68-71: Rep rows 4-7, fasten off after last sc.
Trim
Row 1: With WS facing, working only along one long side edge, join with sl st, ch 1, work sc evenly along side edge only, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, fasten off.
Second Trim
Row 1: With WS facing, working only along one long side edge, join with sl st, ch 1, work sc evenly along side edge only, turn.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn, DO NOT fasten off.
Begin working in the round.
Now with RS facing, ch 1, sc evenly around entire project with 3 sc in each corner, sl st to first sc, fasten off.
